OVH is great!If you are professional and know how to manage the system by yourself, I definitely recommend OVH.I was skeptical about renting a dedicated server from OVH, since Trustpilot comments were mostly bad, but when you read the comments, you will see they gave a low score only because people are not experienced with managing their infrastructure, and in the free support package, you don't get support for basic things like 'How can I install PHP', etc.OVH clearly states that with free support, you are on your own. You only get support for critical situations, as I had.I was using OVH kernel for my dedicated server, and when I updated the kernel with the original CentOS one, my machine could not be booted, because OS was built with OVH kernel. They immediately send a technician to check what is wrong with the system, and they notified me right away.I contacted them, and they explained to me about the problem.What I like about them:- A modern panel where you can manage your server, access via IPMI, add more space on the fly, etc.- They respond immediately in critical situations- They are cheap- Fast internet- Support is slow, but they are very professional and explains a lotWhat I don't like about them:- They have good documentation, but not great, some things are missing.

Their DDoS protection is the best on the market. My server was under 8 hour long DDoS attacks and it felt like forever, but when I switched over to OVH cloud, I just got a mail saying that they have catched the attack. It works perfectly. Nothing to complain about.

Best pricing for dedicated server in many regions, support however is lacking and slow.

We use Private Cloud in OVH + one dedicated server. Never had any issues or downtime for past two years. I like services they offer, it matches with my business. They proceed new orders extremely fast. Support is very good an responsive. All recommendations for them.

At low end price point its very hard to beat these guys !

I've scanned a few reviews here and many seem like people who had hoped that everything would be magically fixed and working for them, or that OVH knows how to fix the mess someone created when editing a production file and breaking things.I'm technically savvy with more than 20 years of system administration and networking experience. If it breaks, it's probably my fault anyway.I've had a dedicated server with OVH in Canada since May 2014. Amazingly low pricing (4x-8x lower than AWS EC2 for the same specs) and wildly solid reliability. In 3 years there was one network outage that lasted 8 hours on November 2, 2015 -- the entire North American datacenter network was offline due to a dark fiber failure. Other than that outage, I cannot remember another issue. When I've had issues, the phone and email support have been good enough to surprisingly technical. I'm not sure what people expect, but as long as the hardware is running and when disks fail they get replaced quickly, I'm a happy camper. I now have three dedicated servers with OVH, two in the US Vint Hill DC and one in BHS. I'd absolutely use them for more servers.
